How to use the keyword combiner

What a keyword combiner is actually for

Keyword research tools give you a list of what people already search. A combiner does the opposite job: it takes the modifiers you know matter (free, best, online, near me, a year, a city, a platform) and multiplies them across your core terms so you can see the whole shape of the long tail at once. Three modifiers across ten core terms is thirty keywords in a second, and you paste the result straight into a difficulty checker or a paid-search campaign.

Combine, then filter, never publish the raw output

A combiner produces every permutation, and plenty of them are nonsense no human would type. The output is a candidate list, not a keyword plan. Run it through a volume and difficulty check and keep only the combinations with real search behind them. Building pages for every permutation is how sites end up with hundreds of near-identical thin pages competing with each other: which is the doorway-page pattern Google's spam policies name explicitly.

Word order changes the keyword

"free slug generator" and "slug generator free" are different queries with different volumes and often different results, because Google matches on the whole phrase rather than a bag of words. That is why the order control matters: run the modifiers in front for the natural-language variants, run them behind for the way people actually type into a search box when they are in a hurry, and check both before deciding which one your title tag should target.

Where the modifiers should come from

Guessing modifiers is the weak link. Pull them from real sources instead: Search Console's query report for the phrasings you already get impressions for, Google's autocomplete and People Also Ask, and competitor title tags for the same term. Modifiers that appear in your own impression data are already proven to be how your audience searches, which makes them far better raw material than a generic list of adjectives.

Keyword Combiner FAQ

Is the keyword combiner free?

Yes. The keyword combiner is free to use on Seobase with no signup required for the on-page keyword list.

Can I use the keyword combiner for SEO content?

Yes. The tool is built for search-focused workflows and pairs best with human review before publishing.

How many keywords can I combine?

Combinations multiply fast, three lists of ten produce a thousand keywords. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so it handles large lists, but the output is capped to keep the result readable.

Does it remove duplicates?

Yes. Blank lines are ignored, whitespace is trimmed, and repeated combinations appear once.

Should I build a page for every combination?

No. Most permutations have no search volume, and publishing near-identical pages for each one is the doorway-page pattern Google's spam policies target. Filter by volume and difficulty first, then group what survives into a handful of genuinely distinct pages.

Can I use this for Google Ads?

Yes, this is the classic use. Combine your core products with intent modifiers to build a keyword matrix, then paste it into the Keyword Planner to get volume and competition before you set bids.
