1. Introduction

Seobase (“Seobase,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an SEO automation platform that performs keyword research, generates and schedules articles, publishes content to connected websites, and helps build backlinks. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using our website, applications, or services (together, the “Services”), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Google).
  • Billing information: subscription status and customer identifiers. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and are not stored by Seobase.
  • Product & website data: the website URLs, business descriptions, competitors, audiences, and crawl data you provide or that we collect to generate keywords and content.
  • Connected-service data: when you connect a CMS (e.g. WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Ghost) or Google Search Console, we access the data needed to publish content and analyze search performance, subject to the permissions you grant.
  • Usage & device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Services, collected automatically to operate and improve the platform.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • perform keyword research, generate content, and publish to your connected platforms;
  • analyze search performance from Google Search Console to prioritize opportunities;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
  • detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Google Search Console & Google user data

If you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access to your search analytics (queries, impressions, clicks, and positions) using the scope you approve. We use this data solely to identify ranking opportunities and tailor keyword and content recommendations for your connected site.

Seobase’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it except as needed to provide or improve the Services, to comply with law, or with your consent. You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your settings.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers: vendors that host infrastructure, process payments, send email, or provide AI model inference, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Connected platforms: content and metadata are sent to the CMS or services you connect, at your direction.
  • Legal & safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Seobase, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and credential isolation for connected integrations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise many of these directly in your account settings, or by contacting us.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. Account and transactional messages are necessary to provide the Services.

10. International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

11. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by email.
